Summary:
The individual filling this position will report to the head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and works closely with the business managers in the unit. Primary responsibility is to work with the head of ECM and other ECM senior managers in developing and executing strategies for improving efficiencies, profitability and growing the ECM business. Additionally, work with other department heads to coordinate sales, trading, research and investment banking and Information Technology (IT) priorities with ECM initiatives. The position will serve as the primary liaison to the business units and branch IT for ECM.

Qualifications: (including specific Education and License requirements)

Strong analytical skills, prior budgeting experience desirable

Existing familiarity ECM businesses and their functionality is helpful

Demonstrated ability to manage long-term projects to successful completion

High degree of professionalism and an ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information

Must be able to work across groups, build relationships and secure consensus as appropriate

Duties:
The position will be responsible for numerous task and ongoing activities, including, but not limited to, working with ECM business unit leaders on budgeting,
compensation issues and analysis, including incentive accruals, compensation structure, compensation components;
shares vs. cash.
Other specific responsibilities include:

Assist in development of the ECM Strategic Plan; maintain, update and measure accountabilities of the Plan.

Serve as the point person for ECM during the budgeting process.

Will serve as the point person, subject to the overall direction of the President of Equity Capital Markets, with regard to identifying, reviewing and pursing potential ECM acquisition candidates.

Responsible for working with the COO and the ECM IT department of the strategic direction of the Information Technology area and creating opportunities for leveraging of technology by ECM, i.e. Commission Manager and Pivotal.

Serve as point person in developing and maintaining the flow of information and reports to ECM.

Perform other duties as requested by the head of Equity Capital Markets to enhance, improve and drive growth and profitability of ECM of D.A. Davidson & Co.
