Helping banks efficiently achieve their CRA investing and lending goals

D.A. Davidson's CRA services help our bank clients efficiently achieve their specified CRA program goals. D.A. Davidson offers five primary avenues to help banks achieve their CRA investing and lending goals:
  • Custom MBS
  • FNMA DUS
  • Municipal Bonds
  • Single Family Residential Home Loans (Whole Loans)
  • Low Income Housing Tax Credits
Custom MBS
D.A. Davidson has multiple origination channels from which to create custom Mortgage Backed Securities for each client's specific CRA needs. Only residential loans with low-moderate income borrowers or located in low-moderate income census tracts are used to create these securities. D.A. Davidson has the ability to identify loans for client's exact specifications based on specific census tracts, cities, counties, MSA's or states. Additionally, D.A. Davidson is able to help clients assess the viability of specific CRA buy programs, saving wasted time due to unrealistic goals or missed opportunities.

FNMA DUS - Multi-Family MBS
D.A. Davidson trades in Multi-Family Mortgage Backed Securities, called FNMA DUS. These securities help provide financing for low to moderate income housing projects. Investors in these securities, as well as the investors in the tax credits sold to help finance the projects, can receive CRA credit for their investment.

Municipal Bonds
D.A. Davidson is one of the top underwriters of municipal bonds in the U.S. In 2010, D.A. Davidson was the lead managing underwriter on 484 negotiated transactions*. Additionally, the company has institutional traders and salespeople who are available to assist in finding municipal bonds from communities within a bank's footprint or targeted area of need.

Single Family Mortgages - Whole Loans
D.A. Davidson facilitates the purchase of single family whole loan mortgages for banks that need additional lending credits. Loans can be identified to a client's exact specifications of specific census tracts, cities, counties, MSA's or states.
