Pines will focus on market development with institutional investors including public pension funds, foundations/endowments and corporate entities, and is based from the firm’s downtown Denver office.

Pines comes to Davidson after 17 years in Chicago working in various roles focused on meeting the needs of institutional investors. Most recently, Steve was with Northern Trust Company, where he served for nine years as Senior Investment Consultant for U.S. and Canadian Public Funds. Other positions included the marketing of equity and fixed income separate account capabilities with Lehman Brothers Asset Management (formerly Lincoln Capital Management LLC) and servicing institutional clientele as an Investment Consultant with CRA RogersCasey.

Pines earned a master’s in business administration with a concentration in finance from DePaul University's Kellstadt School of Business. He received his bachelor’s degree in communication research from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
